Monterosi

Jacob de Haan was invited multiple times to sit on the jury for the national band competition “Tomasso Albani” in the Italian village Monterosi, where he also conducted concerts. The third time, he felt it was a good opportunity to write a composition in dedication to the city.

Naturally, he conducted the première himself. “The inspiration for this composition came while I was thinking about the warm relationship with the people of the organisation and the general atmosphere and surroundings of the village,” said de Haan about this work.

The result is a work with lyrical tendencies that allow the band to show off all its beautiful colours.
